Hello Technicians! HelloTech is happy to announce that there will be three new Skills available to add to your skill set. After a recent survey was completed we found that an outstanding amount of technicians like yourself were interested in performing these services. We have created the Wall Hanging, Bulb Changing, and Furniture Assembly skills as a result and they are now live!
Please review the summaries and parameters of each new skill below. You can easily add these new skills through the HelloTech app, just like any other skill!
Furniture Assembly
The base service will allow our technicians to assemble a single piece of Furniture. The customer will have the ability to add on additional pieces of furniture for an additional cost. The requested furniture will need to be either new in the box or contain all pieces and instructions to qualify.
Excludes:
- Custom furniture
- Missing pieces will not be supplied
- Playsets, Gazebos, Sheds, or other similar items
- No mounting to ceilings will be performed
- Does not include moving furniture from one room to another
A full list of tools needed for the job is available when adding the skill but you can also keep these in mind when accepting a Wall Hanging service request:
- Drop cloths or blankets
- Wrench set
- Screwdrivers (Phillips and Flat)
- Allen Wrenches
- Drill Bit set including multiple types of tips
Wall Hanging
This service will allow our technicians to hang Picture Frames, Mirrors, or shelving in the desired room. The base Wall Hanging SKU includes the installation of a single small item no larger than 3ft (36in) in length or height or a single large item that is 3ft and larger. The customer will have the option to add on more items to hang at an additional cost.
Excludes:
- Any requests to be installed higher than 12ft.
- Any assembly
- Weight limit of 50lbs
- Interior walls only, Drywall or Plaster. No Brick, Stone, Tile and Vaneer panleing
- Gallery wall requests would need to be preplanned prior to installation with a detailed plan provided by the customer

- A 10ft. Ladder
- Wall anchors - Drywall, Butterfly, etc.
- Hammer
- Screws & Nails
- Measuring tape
- Level
Bulb Changing
The base Bulb Changing SKU includes the installation of a set of 5 bulbs. The bulbs to be replaced can be interior or exterior in working fixtures. Most landscaping bulbs will be supported. Standard bulbs, recessed bulbs, and linear/tube bulbs are all acceptable replacements for this service request.
Excludes:
- Bulbs will not be provided
- Any requests higher than 20ft
- Any sealed fixtures
- Swimming Pool Lighting
- Automotive Bulbs/Headlight replacement

- Ladder up to 10ft
- Screwdriver (Phillips and Flathead)
- Electrical Tape
- Gloves with rubber grip
- Rubber needle Nosed Pliers
- Light Bulb Replacement Tool
Payouts for these jobs are the same as any other skill on our platform. We are very excited to see where this new era of HelloTech takes us!
