Message from the CEO
Hi All,
I have been intending to take a moment to acknowledge the horrific surge in violence against Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders (AAPI) that has been happening across our country. In addition to physical harm, there is also an increased emotional and psychological impact of this disturbing trend. A recent study by Pew Research Center documented a marked increase in racial slurs or jokes leveled at Asian Americans since the start of the pandemic. We, as a company, stand against any hatred for any identity and acknowledge that such acts are detestable.
We are committed to doing our part in condemning hate and creating lasting social change. Across the board, our team is made up of amazing colleagues from diverse religions, backgrounds and beliefs. This is what makes us special and I want to make sure we continue to make progress together.
We will continue to work for, celebrate and protect our diversity so that our work place is a place of acceptance and hope for all. We will be clear in our position about the importance of social justice. Our DEI committee is taking the lead on these conversations, internally, and I will continue to ask for ideas and input on what more we can do. You have my commitment that we will do our best.
Here are some resources for further education. Report hate crimes to Stop AAPI Hate.
Please take care of yourselves and your mental and physical health. Reach out if you need support, and check-in on each other.
Best,
Greg S.
HelloTech works to actively foster an inclusive platform. We are proud of the many talents that the Technicians who work with the HelloTech platform bring. We appreciate the diverse and multifaceted experiences and backgrounds each Technician has.
We also know that not everyone appreciates such diversity, and we are deeply saddened and angered by the discrimination and violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community.
HelloTech’s allyship with the AAPI Community is unassailable. We acknowledge the pain, hurt, numbness and fear that members of the AAPI Community and their allies feel in response to the unacceptable recent violence. We believe any act of hatred or attempt to foster an “otherness” feeling about AAPI persons is unacceptable and detestable.
We feel it is important to amplify the voices of those calling for positive change, inclusion and an end to anti-Asian hate. Every AAPI individual deserves the respect that should be afforded with being a human being, and we are committed to fostering lasting positive change in our society.
Please report any hate-based crimes to the appropriate authorities. We ask that you be safe and respect others. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Community Team.
